Play Ball! SBDA Receives Federal Tax Exemption

Posted on 17 February, 2011 by Mike Torosian
As the start to the 2011 baseball season quickly approaches, good news has come to the SBDA at the perfect time. Since 2008, the SBDA has been preparing for the day when they would receive federal tax exemption and become a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. That day has arrived.
The Serbian Baseball Development Association is now a state and federally exempt non-profit organization able to receive donations while providing its donors with the ability to use their donation as a tax write off. This status is what the SBDA has been waiting for to begin its full operations. The SBDA is now able to begin soliciting monetary donations to support the operations of the organization due to the federal tax exemption. We still continue to welcome donations of new or used baseball gear, these gifts are also eligible to be used as a tax write off.
The news of federal tax exemption could not have come at a better time. The beginning of the 2011 baseball season is quickly approaching and the SBDA is in the process of finalizing project proposals to implement this season for youth baseball. These projects are only possible with your help, our donors. You are who makes all these operations possible and are who allows for all the successes of the SBDA. Please contact us to see how you can help or browse our website’s “donation” feature and make a difference today!
